About EsportsTravel Summit

The EsportsTravel Summit was launched in conjunction with the TEAMS Conference & Expo in Orlando in 2017. The Summit was an immediate success because it helped fill an information vacuum that exists for both organizers of esports events and those in the travel and tourism industry who want to understand and profit from the esports phenomenon. Globally, the number of esports enthusiasts is estimated at 191 million people–and growing.

While video games have been around for more than 40 years, a transformation is occurring in the video-gaming space that will elevate the players above the games. Live events are becoming the ultimate forum for skill and achievement for players. And spectators are flocking to the live events because of their interest in the games and the rising prominence of the players. It is this transformation that is creating many new opportunities, including record levels of investment in esports teams and the development of esports specific venues.

Just as the major sports leagues have identified esports as the best way to connect with the next generation of fans, visionary venues, destinations and sports organizations can leverage the esports phenomenon to attract the next generation of visitors and followers.

The 2019 EsportsTravel Summit will be held June 25-27 in Atlantic City. The Summit's unique mission will be to continue to educate esports stakeholders on the nexus between venues, destinations, the travel industry and esports.

Welcome to the vanguard of the sports-event industry. Welcome to the EsportsTravel Summit!

Live video-game events are maturing into a powerhouse for the travel industry.

"IPEC is THE event for both novice and experienced independent planners. Everyone is open to express their concerns and posing questions without worrying about 'the other side' and suppliers are truly interested in our positions and challenges, ergo the round table discussions, which are insightful and we learn from each other as well as suppliers. Our discussion on the RFP process helped me to reformulate my own forms and I believe this will result in more usable proposals. Thank YOU."

—Doris Mayer, Meetings Plus

"I applaud Northstar for caring enough about Independent Planners that they designed a meeting just for us. We are critical to the industry and have different needs than the other niche Planner demographics."

—Tess Vismale, iSocialExecution, Inc.

"In two short days IPEC accomplished two very important goals for me - it provided an intimate forum where I could meet with suppliers I've been interested in meeting; and just as importantly, it enabled me to network and share best practices with respected colleagues who do just what I do all across the country."

—Brett Sterenson, Hotel Lobbyists

Why You Should Sponsor and Participate in the EsportsTravel Summit

Why You Should Sponsor and Participate in the EsportsTravel Summit

The EsportsTravel Summit is the only event focused on the travel side of the esports business. A Sponsorship Package provides your organization with the opportunity to increase exposure among decision makers who are organizing and hosting esports events. This is your chance to drive results by tapping into the esports market—the next generation of sporting events.
For more information on the Destination & Supplier Marketplace and on sponsorship opportunities—which can include your registration and Marketplace participation—please contact Florence Nalepka or Timothy Schneider.
